Overview

hush is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your phone usage is your business and no one else's. This policy explains what data hush collects (almost nothing) and how it's handled.

Data we collect

Short answer: effectively nothing.

hush does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• — No analytics or tracking. We do not use any analytics frameworks, tracking pixels, or usage monitoring tools.
• — No account required. hush does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information.
• — No network requests. hush does not communicate with any external servers. All data stays on your device.
• — No third-party SDKs. We do not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection SDKs.

Data stored on your device

hush stores the following data locally on your device using UserDefaults and App Groups:

• — Your selected apps. The list of apps you choose to display on your home screen widget.
• — Widget preferences. Your chosen background color and font size settings.
• — Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription, verified locally through Apple's StoreKit.
• — Onboarding state. Whether you've completed the initial setup flow.

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted, synced, or backed up to any external server controlled by us.

In-app purchases

hush offers optional subscriptions (monthly, yearly) and a lifetime purchase through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or any financial data. For details on how Apple handles your purchase data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Photos access

hush may request permission to save images to your photo library. This is used solely for the wallpaper generation feature, which creates a solid-color wallpaper matching your widget background. No photos are read, accessed, or uploaded — the permission is only used to save the generated wallpaper to your device.

Children's privacy

hush does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since hush collects no personal data from any user, there is no risk of children's data being collected.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new date. Given that hush collects no data, we don't anticipate significant changes. Our commitment to privacy is fundamental to what hush is.
